Section Programmes

The section programmes are designed to be challenging, relevant and rewarding for all young people and based around three main themes: Outdoor and Adventure, World and Skills. The group enjoy getting out into the open with Auchengillan Scout Centre on our doorstep, its give is a change to practise all our camping Skills

The local Country Park at Mugdock is a popular destination for hikes, wide games and orienteering.

Youth Shaped

We listen to and value the views of our young people and ensure that the programmes incorporate their ideas. The young people are involved in core decisions for the group and can take on leadership roles within their sections.

Recognising Achievement

Young people’s achievements are recognised through a range of different badges and awards they can earn whilst in their section. Many of the young people go on to achieve their Chief Scout Awards. Alongside this we have our own rewards systems such as weekly medals for those who go above and beyond.

So Join the Adventure Today!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
